The distillery

To obtain the best quality essential oils, we needed a tool that was tailored to our needs. So, as part of an Ecological and Environmental Interest Group (GIEE), we designed a mobile distillery: PAPAMOBILE (PAPAM stands for Plantes A Parfum, Aromatique et Médicinale).

Gentle, traditional distillation of precious plants

The flowers are cut whole and not crushed, as is the practice with industrial crops. They are carefully placed in the tanks. Steam is injected. This steam is loaded with essential oil crystals and volatile compounds. After cooling, the floral water (hydrosol) and essential oil are separated by gravity.

The crucial role of the distiller for quality oils

While the quality of the flower and the harvest are paramount, the distiller's work is just as important. It's all about delivering the right amount of steam at the right time. Some elements take longer to extract. An essential oil must be made up of all its components, those of the heads and those of the tails, to be complete and perfectly achieved.

Provence in a bottle: the essence of nature restored

This enables us to offer you top-quality oils that will delight you and bring back all the elements that our Provencal plants have drawn from nature. It's photosynthesis, the harnessing of the sun's energy, that makes our herbs grow. We return this light and its benefits to you. The garrigue in a bottle, a blade of grass at the corner of your lips!
