Description
Plant of little and pebble, the helichrysum (Helichrysum comes from two Greek words helios = sun and chrysos = gold) produces an essence so rare that it takes almost a ton of flowers to extract 1l of essential oil.
Always regarded as one of the most powerful essential oils with many virtues, it has been used since ancient times.
In ancient Greece, its anti-hematoma and beneficial properties for the skin were already noticed.
Princess Nausicaa, who saved Ulysses in Homer’s Odyssey, used to rub his body with Immortelle oil and made it his elixir of youth. When she collected Ulysses, stranded after the sinking of her ship, she treated him with Helichrysum essential oil.
He thus found strength and beauty. (1).
