Our organic bergamots come from southern Italy. It's a fruit of the Citrus genus, a citrus fruit with character and bold flavors.

They have been cultivated since antiquity only on a narrow strip of coast facing Sicily, in the Strait of Messina on the Ionian Sea.

It was undoubtedly the intoxicating scent of bergamot blossoms that led Ulysses so far from his Penelope... His wake would have lingered too long off these bewitching shores, and he fell from Charybdis into Scylla!
